About this blog
My blog is the story of my life - a living diary. If it happens, I blog it. And make it as entertaining as possible. My lousy grammar is lousy, hope it's not too much of an annoyance to you.

Nicholas gives me the impression that he’s a balanced person: active in sports (maybe basketball is his passion seeing that he’s holding the ball and is at the court), plus he’s serious about this studies as well. Loves the spectacles he’s wearing as it portrays his studiousness in a totally cool way!

this guy is posing, don’t you think he is just hiding his true personality? My guess is that he is quite a whacky guy in real life, as in able to punch you a few jokes from time to time. A guy that likes to act cool, probably able to hide his emotions from others.

I’m happy with the two comments, because both confirmed what I wanted to show. At the same time, what Hurley said made me think more on “work ethics” in future projects.
Alice was right about him being balanced: active in sports and serious about studies.
Hurley was right about him being a poser: he is quite a whacky guy, even though it’s reserved for people he’s closer with. Yes indeed, he’s a shy guy who hide his emotions from others most of the time.
Then again, I was the one who asked him to dress like that, and pose like that. Even though it portrays him best, in a way it felt like I was cheating.
It’s a norm (I assume) in studio shots for models to be asked to pose or dress up in a certain way. But as a street photographer, I “steal” moments of models doing something they enjoy, or dislike.
Maybe it’s just me thinking too much. I need time to adjust myself with the “codes of ethic” thing.

You need to be a poser to do this kind of shot. So it’s a given. I think this guy has great potential and you did a great job as his photographer. He’s pretty natural.

Yes, I agree. It has more to do with him being natural than me being a good photographer.
